Finally a day came when I was actually ready to leave the house in the morning, before the beach rush, and Oliver was in a totally mellow mood. So I threw some diapers in the diaper bag and ran out the door.
It was a rather dreary day, even though as soon as I returned home the sun came out. Oliver and I just chilled on the sand.
He was totally eyeballing the ladies as they walked by in their bathing suits. Oh dear! Help me, I have a little flirt on my hands!
Oliver was enjoying playing with one of his favorite toys, the SmartNoggin NogginSeek. I have talked about this toy in the past but I just can’t say enough good things about it. It always calms him down and today as I was on the beach it totally came in handy.
I didn’t even realize it was in my diaper bag because it’s so lightweight and portable but when I found it in there I breathed a sigh of relief as Oliver was totally bored with the ocean. He doesn’t get the beach life yet!
He’s not that impressed with Malibu, the Pacific Ocean and the Beach. Which is hilarious because as we try to show him the ocean or the sand, he would rather shake his NogginSeek rattle.
So just when his little smile turned upside down and his “I’m having a meltdown” face was almost visible, I triumphantly found the NogginSeek rattle. WHEW!
I swear I have to buy another one to keep in my purse at all times! So I can have an extra one at home in case this one gets lost.
It was a nice thirty minutes on the beach, I absolutely love bonding with Ollie. When he’s changed, fed and just chillin’ is my favorite time to just play with him, talk to him and share his joy of his favorite toys.
Looking at these photos makes me want to get down to Zuma Beach every day but with our hectic morning schedule it’s hard to find the time.
As he grows up right in front of our eyes I have made a promise to take a breath and slow it down just to watch him, to be near him and not to miss a single moment wether simple or a milestone.
That is one of the reasons we love the SmartNoggin toys, they are a developmental tool for tiny babies. I just love the tiny size of the NogginSeek. So perfect for Ollies tiny little, uncertain hands. Please check out this woman owned business and pick up this rattle and their two other products (which Oliver adores!).
